Position Description and Responsibilities:
NOTE:
Position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

This position is a hands-on management role. More specifically, our
client needs someone that will formally grow an existing interface team
of two, but in the meantime you'll need to work on existing projects and
deal with any existing challenges. You should anticipate 18 months to
build this interface team.

The interface team will develop, enhance, test and maintain
all applications (web applications and related windows services,
commercial applications) used by our client to exchange data internally
as well as externally including all HL7 interfaces between client
and client customer/partner companies.

Report to/work with CIO and develop strategic and tactical plans.

Perform as point of contact for outside vendors/partners, etc. in the
area of electronic data exchange.

Participate in IT standard bodies (i.e. HL7, HITSP, ACLA, etc.)
Technical Skills/Requirements:
-
C#
-
SQL
-
HL7 and EDI - Must have extensive experience with HL7 and
background with file-based EDI.

Must have experience in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software and
EMR implementation.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or
an equivalent combination thereof and a minimum of 7-10 years of
industry experience in software development with a focus on web and
windows applications in the healthcare industry with significant
exposure to HL7.
