Mile High View:

This positions reports to the IT Director within the Operations group.
-
Immediately upon hire, get introduced to the Oracle team in a
comprehensive effort to learn all their systems, DB structures, etc. so
that you're exposed to the most important elements of the system once on
board.

Current databases in ops department tend to be smaller, simpler and
easier to digest so at the end of the acclimation period you should know
both baseline structures and be able to start adding value to all the
projects lined up for the next 12 months plus.

Support internally built systems that include billing that integrates to
a SQL-based system. Essentially you'll be responsible for providing general technical
troubleshooting related to Oracle and Oracle billing systems for all
departments. In order to provide support of internal billing system and data integration
required for the system to function, you'll need to have extensive experience
with SQL and PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting.

Support users on functionality and continually work to
improve internal reporting options and data delivery.

Provide ad-hoc report support while working to develop a robust
reporting environment.

Assist in design and build efforts of future internally developed systems.
Technical Skills/Requirements:
-
5+ years experience as Oracle database developer and/or analyst.
-
Must have the ability/desire to design functional database solutions in an already
existing and functioning database.

Must have extensive experience with SQL and PL/SQL and UNIX shell
scripting.

Must have experience supporting internal users with a variety of issues including
such things as ad-hoc SQL queries, Oracle Reports, Oracle OLAP cubes,
PL/SQL, MS SQL Reporting Services, etc.

Must be able/willing to support internal teams after
hours when needed.

Four-year college degree preferred but experience will
be considered as an offset.
Desired/Plus Skills:
-
Experience with data analysis and complex SQL queries.
-
Experience with Oracle Apps Server (OLAP cubes and Oracle Reports).
-
Experience with Microsoft SQL/SQL Reports.
